What time should I arrive? When is the studio open?
The teacher will be there 15 minutes before class. While class is in session the door is locked. The teacher will stay 15 minutes after class.
What do I need to bring with me the first time I take class?
The first time you attend class we ask that you bring a mat, a towel and a bottle of water. We rent mats and sell bottles of water for $1 each (CASH ONLY PLEASE).
Should I eat before I come to class?
We ask that you refrain from eating a big meal 2 hours before class. That doesn’t mean you can’t have a snack or something, but it’s best to practice on an empty stomach, especially since the class is heated. It’s the same with any workout, you don’t want to feel full and then go for a run or jump around nor do you want to do yoga.
What should I expect?
Our heated classes range in temperature from 80-85 degrees.
What should I wear?
Tighter fitting clothing is recommended for heated classes as sweating can make loose clothes heavy, but wear something you feel comfortable in working out.
Do I need to pre-register for classes online?
Classes are FIRST COME/FIRST SERVE, so pre-registration is recommended. Registering on-line through your Mind Body Online account is encouraged and makes check in for you quick and easy. Try to arrive 10-15 minutes before class.
ON-LINE SIGN UP AND REGISTRATION IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- this way you are guaranteed a spot in a class and check-in is that much quicker and simpler. Simply click on "Schedule", select the class you’d like to attend, and click "Register." You will need to create an account with Mind Body Online. The second time is quick and easy - just remember your password.
How often should I come?
It’s totally up to you! Your body will benefit whenever you come. Practicing yoga 2-3 times a week helps the body to fully realize the benefits of strengthening and stretching the muscles.
What if I have NEVER done yoga before? Can I still come to class?
Of course! Beginners are welcome in all classes and options to modify are always offered by teachers.
Can I leave early?
Yes, but we ask that you do so as discretely as possible as to not interrupt the practice of others around you and please do so before savasana (the ending posture). We completely understand that it is not always possible to allocate the full hour or 75 minutes and we are happy to have you as long as you can stay.
