Do you LOVE to go upside down or do you WANT to LOVE going upside down?
This two hour workshop is great for those new to inversions and those that need a little bit of help with them. We will use the wall and work on alignment and all the different steps needed to get you upside and comfortable. We will work on handstands, basket headstands, forearm stands and a few arm balances.
This promises to be a lot of fun and you will leave feeling confident that you can practice your inversion safely in class and/or at home. It will help to further your practice and add a more advanced level too it.

Settle into fall like the strong roots of a tree as the branches withstand the twists and turns of the wind. Using the symbolism of the tree, we will learn to become grounded, stable, and confident in our world. This workshop will focus on the anatomy of the core, sculpting and toning muscles, the importance of linking breath to movement, and simple everyday actions to build strength and maintain balance. We will end with an extended relaxing mind/body experience.

Balancing our mind, body and spirit during this workshop is our focus. In a candlelit room with the use of essential oils, bolsters, sandbags, blocks and eye-pillows you will be sure achieve full bliss. We will begin your practice with a breath meditation and then move through restorative poses to reach a full sense of relaxation and calmness. During the poses, you will listen to readings reflecting self love and experience gentle touch to bring awareness inward. This combination will allow you to be aware of your body as well as giving your mind the ability to surrender. During our time together in this sacred space, you will waken your senses, restore balance and promote health and well-being. We will conclude in a supported savasana in which you will be guided through an imagery meditation.

Do you love yoga or acupuncture and want to see how they mix? Have you been doing one and wondering what the other has to offer? The word yoga means union. It’s the joining together of breath, body and mind - mind, body and spirit. This unique class will begin with centering through a mindful meditation followed by the exploration of the breath through a multiple intelligent, gentle, therapeutic flow. This program will stretch and soothe every space in the physical body. Afterwards a community style acupuncture treatment on your mat is included for each of the participants. Simple treatment options will include a choice of:
- Four Gates Treatment - Helps with calming and quieting the mind, strengthening and nourishing all the muscles and tendons.
- Back In Action Treatment - Targeting the spinal column and muscles of the back and neck.
- Reset and Renew - This treatment option can help reset digestive complaints and work on fatigue and overall energy and metabolism.
- Joint of Choice - Do you have a specific joint that could use a little TLC? This treatment will combine local points and mirror points to direct stagnant energy away from your problem joint and ease pain.

Jay Guanci, Lic. Ac. has been practicing acupuncture in Reading since 2007. He holds a master’s degree in acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture, the country’s oldest college of Oriental Medicine. Jay is trained in both Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture, as well as Dr. Tan's balance style. He is experienced in treating all types of health issues. He's been practicing yoga regularly for 6 years and is very intrigued by the similarities in these two disciplines.
Karen Cullen, MA, E-RYT, RMT - has studied various styles of yoga, meditation, therapeutic touch, and mindfulness for many years with notable teachers to heal herself physically, emotionally and spiritually. She is a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher receiving her E-RYT 200 through the Yoga Alliance and she is also a Usui Reiki Master Teacher. Karen received both her BA in Human Development and her MA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Specialization in Integrated Holistic Health with an emphasis studying expressive therapies, movement, yoga and therapeutic touch through Lesley University. She has experience teaching both Hatha Yoga and Reiki at colleges, studios, hospitals, and gyms to people who want to empower themselves to heal.
